Model of Practice

Any child or young persons growth potential in any skill is dependent on a number of factors. This model demonstrates that within my practice to support growth potential there needs to be the following:

Interventions - These are the sessions with your child or activities provided to you in a programme. Activities in sessions should be fun, based on your child's interests and needs and changed over time as they develop. Programmes are child centred.

Assessments - These inform the areas of need, the intervention identified and the goals they need to work towards. This includes formal assessments alongside gathering information from parents/carers, the child and other healthcare professionals.

Education and Training - I endeavour to provide training and support to the whole social network around the child. I hope to increase public awareness to improve inclusion and equality for all.
