The Octopational Therapist is a specialist children’s occupational therapy and sensory integration service supporting children and young people aged 0–19 in Aylesbury, Buckinghamshire, Oxfordshire and the wider Home Counties.

With over 15 years’ experience in paediatric occupational therapy, I support children with sensory processing difficulties, autism, ADHD, and developmental challenges, helping them build confidence, independence and everyday life skills.

A diagnosis is not required to access support.

I focus is on helping children develop the skills they need for everyday life through play-based, child-centred occupational therapy, including structured skill-building, sensory integration strategies, and parent education.

Support can be provided in the home or school settings across the following main areas:

  • Sensory processing and sensory integration

  • Interoception and emotional regulation

  • Fine motor skills (handwriting, dexterity)

  • Gross motor skills and coordination (ball skills, balance, core strength)

  • Self-care skills (dressing, toileting, feeding)

  • Life skills and independence

  • Planning, organisation and attention skills
